The Challenge
In the last year or two I have been lucky enough to meet and work along side with some of the most creative and talented photographers you would ever be able to find....anywhere. The bay area is home to a lot of ridiculous talent so as a needle in the haystack of photographers, I like to consider myself pretty fortunate for the experiences I have had and the connections I have made. I haven't blogged much about things I have done with other photographers mostly because things have been so busy in my personal life...from having a pregnant wife to a now 4 month old baby things have been...busy. =) Recently, I was able to come along to a wedding with a friend and fellow photographer, Sam Hassas. Sam is a tremendous creative talent and his work is very unique in it's style and creativity..something I think all photographers strive for. For this particular wedding Sam already had a 2nd shooter who flew all the way out from Florida to do so, Tony Schreiber. I offered to come out and assist them and in doing so was challenged by Sam: take no more than 100 photos and only use 1 lens. This makes for an interesting challenge because I would have to be extremely selective of any photos I take in both composition and exposure. I look forward to working more with Sam in the future. Hopefully some of his creativity will rub off on me lol. =p Had a great time, thanks guys.
