Julie & Dan tied were married last weekend at the gorgeous Waterfront Hotel in Oakland. Their wedding was particularly special to me because I have actually known Julie since we were in high school! I'm 100% sure I could come up with some high school photos that we are both in, one in particular comes to mind(ahem, 70's dance) lol. We have seen each other on a few occasions since high school(um, we graduated 15 years ago!?). I had met Dan before and I knew they had been together for a while so when they contacted me about photographing their wedding I was beyond excited. I love photographing weddings but it's always extra special for me when I am asked to do so for friends. =)
The wedding day was a total blast. They opted to do a "first look" which is where we set up a moment for them to see each other for the first time prior to the ceremony. It was a great moment to watch and without a doubt one of my favorites to date. From that point on they just smiled and laughed at each other all day and that's what I will always remember. They just love each other and it's so great to see.
