Meet Dan, Jen, Ava, and Bryce: The Backer Family! Oh, I almost forgot the family dog, Dotty May(who might make an appearance or two later). =)

We set out last weekend to photograph the family and more specifically their 2 adorable kids. Ava is just a little older than my daughter so I felt right at home trying to coax a smile or two out of her. Honestly, I give most of the credit to Mom & Dad for all the dancing and singing they did behind my head! I wish I could have seen it. Bryce being just 6 months old he is just learning to sit up on his own and was quite interested in...pretty much whatever he could get his hands on. It was hard to pick only a few favorites to share. Luckily it's my blog and I can post as many pics as I want so here are some of my favorite images from our session together. Enjoy! =)

Emily & Mark: Engaged! - Lawrence Hall Of Science Engagement Session - Berkley, CA

If you have never been to the Lawrence Hall Of Science, you must not have grown up in the bay area in the last 35 years because I'm fairly sure every elementary school around takes a field trip there at some point. I haven't been there since I was a kid(on a field trip, lol) so when Emily & Mark proposed going there for their engagement session I really had no idea what we were going to see. Turns out the answer is(among other things) a really cool gigantic DNA molecule and a ridiculous view of the bay. Best of all we went late and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Also, it was probably one of the hottest days this year so far, lol. I almost forgot about that. =)

Emily & Mark are getting married this year and I am really looking forward to photographing their wedding. To spend 5 minutes with these guys you know they are the real thing. One of my favorite things about our session is how many shots I have of them laughing at one another. I mean, sure I tell some pretty awesome jokes but these guys didn't need me to entertain them at all. Makes my job that much easier and really made the session fun.

Adrienne & Jeff: Having Twins! - Livermore Maternity Session - Livermore, CA

In the next few weeks, Adrienne & Jeff will join the semi-exclusive club around here of couples I have photographed that will be parents of twins! They already know they are having a boy and a girl and they already have their names picked out(which is often the million dollar question on everybody's mind.) They even have the nursery all decorated just waiting for these two little bundles of joy to make their grand entrance. =)

Adrienne contacted me looking to do some maternity portraits but by the doctors orders she was supposed to be taking it easy so we were going to be doing the shoot at their home. The good news for them is they have an absolutely beautiful home which also literally backs up to a vineyard. Perfect.

Kevin & Jessie: Engaged! - Treasure Island Engagement Session - San Fransisco, CA

Meet Kevin & Jessie! Yours truly will have the pleasure of photographing their wedding in a few months and last weekend we went out to shoot their engagement session. We went back and forth trying to decide where would be a good place to go and ultimately they decided on Treasure Island and it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day. Super duper windy, but still amazing and warm and we weren't going to let a little breeze stop us. =)
