Amy & Matt - Engagement - 07/26/2009 - San Ramon, CA

Amy & Matt. Two great friends of mine getting married in a few short weeks. I have been friends with Amy for a loooooong time...like "The Land Before Time" dinosaur time. Before she even had a drivers licence time. Crazy, right? She is one of my best friends and over the last couple years Matt has become a great friend to me as well. He actually told me when he was going to propose, how he was going to do it and invited my wife and I to come out to San Fransisco and celebrate with them just moments after he popped the question. Needless to say, we were there, she was surprised, and it was awesome!

I am very excited to be a part of their wedding. The running joke was whether I was going to be a groomsman or a bridesmaid lol. Thankfully, the answer is in fact, groomsman. =)

I will not be photographing their wedding. They hired a great photographer that I work with quite a bit (and in fact shot my wedding, too), Tiffany Green. The world is small. We did however manage to get together for a quick engagement session. These images will be used for their custom photo guest book that I'm putting together for them. I'm excited for their wedding so I can only imagine how they feel! I know a tremendous amount of planning and care has gone into the whole day it will be amazing to see it all come together. Get the Kleenex ready.

Here are just a few favorites. Enjoy!

Hailey - 08/14/2009 - Dublin, CA

I am a lucky guy.

Why am I a lucky guy? No, I did not win the lottery although that would be pretty cool. I am lucky to have the friends that I do. Two of my best friends in the world welcomed their daughter Hailey into the world about two years ago....and my life has been different ever since. They were my first friends to have a baby and she was the first 2 hour old newborn I had ever held. I have watched her grow and it has been an amazing experience. She is quite possibly the cutest kid....ever. Yeah, I said it. =)

These are her 2 year pictures. I have been taking pictures of Hailey since hour 2 of her life. She's now to the point where she sees a camera and says "cheeeeeeee!" lol. Here's to many more fun filled years to come...and the pictures to prove it.

Hannah - 07/20/2009 - Danville, CA

This is your mission should you choose to accept it. These are the words I kept hearing in my head as well as the theme song to Mission Impossible the entire time. I'm kidding of course! At 3 years old, I have never seen a child with more energy! We took her to the park in an attempt to trick her into taking some photos. I was warned ahead of time that she did not like having her picture taken but I was going to do it anyway. A mission, I chose to accept.

She knew I was there to take her picture and she didn't like me for that reason. She ran from me any chance she got! If we wanted her to do something, we would have to tell her NOT to do it. Her mom would say "Hannah don't do your princess pose" and sure enough, she would do it (and I had to shoot fast). I believe her personality really shows through these images. She is an energetic, firecracker of a little girl. I think she's adorable even if she didn't like me. =)

Below are some favorites. Enjoy!
