Steve & Shelley: Married!! - A Castlewood Country Club Wedding - Pleasanton, CA
Steve & Shelley were recently married at the beautiful Castlewood Country Club. I have basically known Shelley since she was born, how crazy is that? Not many photographers can say they have known their brides most of their lives so it's a huge honor to be asked to photograph their wedding. Shelly has 2 older sisters that I have also been friends with since we were very young so I knew this would be a wedding full of familiar faces and they already know I love their family so....no pressure! LOL. Actually, more pressure. =)
Steve is a great guy who I have had the pleasure of getting to know the last few years that he and Shelley have been dating. I think we all knew pretty early on that this is where we would end up, it was just a matter of WHEN. I'm sure he never realized the size of the shoes he would need to stand in to live up to the families expectation of who would marry the youngest daughter. When they stood up in front of their families and said their "I do's", everybody would see he is the perfect guy for the job.
I'm so happy and excited that I was able to be a part of their big day. Truly it was a beautiful ceremony and an equally amazing party. I almost forgot!! Probably the best thing that has ever happened to me at a wedding happened at Steve & Shelley's wedding. Around 10:30pm, several individuals started entering the bar area with bags of french fries and trays of cheeseburgers from In and Out. It's like they read my mind(lol) but really what they were doing was providing a little late night snack to their hungry guests that had been dancing their butts off for the last few hours. AMAZING!! Just one more thoughtfully planned wedding detail shaped in the form of a delicious cheeseburger. Quite possibly the greatest way to end a fantastically amazing wedding.
Here are some images I have selected to share from their big day. Congratulations Shelley & Steve!! I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness and I look forward to seeing what horrifically ugly sweaters you can come up with this year for the holidays. You're married now, time to step your game up! =)
Enjoy!!

this space for rent
Wow, it is great to know that Steve & Shelley are married. Their big smiles are just to die for. They look excited on their big day. I can feel the excitement because we are also tying the knot soon at one of the local event halls for rent. Our indoor theme would be just perfect for our dream wedding.
